Drake Planet Cracker

drake scientists have created a device known as a "planet cracker". it is considerably small, the size of a human arm, but if placed on any large object, like a planet, and activated it will create a massive energy ring around the object and bring the ring down like a lasso, or a nut-cracker, constricting the object with enough force to destroy whatever the ring surrounds. it is remotely controlled and non-explosive. it can be used for much larger or much smaller targets depending on the situation. for safety reasons the device hasn't been officially made. drakes would only use this device for it's intended purpose if their elemental siphon of a planet fails to defeat the enemy.
the device can also be used to collect large pieces of planets to add to the drake world but it's considered as more of a weapon than a tool.
